With the public transportation you arrive to Compatsch and with the cable car on the Bullaccia where the hike starts. The first destination is the Engelsrast, built by Franz Messner, artist coming from Renon, Bolzano. Then we proceed through wonderful rough pastures to the “Filln” cross, from where you will enjoy a spectacular view on the Val Gardena. Afterwards you reach the “Panche delle streghe”: these “witches’ seats” are geological formations recalling the form of armchairs, where the Sciliar-witches used to seat to have a complete view of the surrounding area. The Bullaccia tour brings you then to Gollerspitz and over DiBaita back to Compatsch. With the public bus you get off at the Ritsch stop and from there you can walk back to the Icaro.
